Iraq currently lacks viable alternatives to replace the energy it imports from Iran, which poses a serious challenge in ensuring sufficient electricity supply to meet domestic demand, particularly during the summer months, according to three energy officials on Sunday.
A senior official from the electricity ministry informed Reuters that the government has begun to implement urgent measures aimed at mitigating the effects of the U.S. decision on Iraq’s power supply.
