The U.S. embassy in Israel issued a warning on Saturday for Americans in the region to steer clear of large crowds and to be ready to find shelter due to a rise in conflict within the country.
“The security situation is intricate and can evolve rapidly,” the embassy stated in a notice on its website. “Stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings.”

This alert was released as the Israeli military reported conducting strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, marking a second wave of attacks after intercepting rockets launched from the border earlier that day.
Additionally, Israel has experienced a wave of significant protests in recent days in response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to remove the head of the Shin Bet domestic intelligence agency.
