During a Cabinet meeting, Trump informed reporters that discussions are ongoing with Ukraine about the possibility of American companies acquiring ownership of Ukrainian power plants.

A U.S. delegation engaged with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and met with Russian representatives on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the primary focus of the discussions has been a ceasefire in the Black Sea region, Trump indicated that additional topics are emerging as he advocates for an end to Russia’s three-year conflict with Ukraine.

“We’re currently addressing territorial issues and lines of demarcation. We’re also discussing power and ownership of power plants. Some are suggesting that the United States should take ownership of the power plants due to our expertise,” he stated.
