A Russian Strategic Bomber Crashed in Siberia.

A Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region of southeastern Siberia due to a technical issue, as reported by local governor Igor Kobzev on Wednesday.

The aircraft went down during a routine flight near the village of Buret in the Usolsk district, with no reported damage to civilian properties, Kobzev noted on his Telegram channel.

All four crew members managed to eject, but one unfortunately lost their life.

Kobzev did not specify the precise reason for the crash.

The Tupolev Tu-22M3, known as Backfire in NATO terminology, is a long-range supersonic bomber designed to carry missiles.
