Approximately 1,200 protests are scheduled across the United States on Saturday, with organizers anticipating it to be the largest single day of opposition against President Donald Trump and his billionaire associate Elon Musk since the administration began its swift initiative to impose a conservative influence on government.
In advance of the “Hands Off!” protests, hundreds of anti-Trump Americans residing in Europe convened in cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, and London to express their dissent against Trump’s extensive overhaul of U.S. foreign and domestic policies.
In Paris, around 200 individuals, primarily Americans, gathered at Place de la République, where they listened to speeches and displayed banners with messages like “Resist Tyrant,” “Rule of Law,” “Feminists for Freedom not Fascism,” and “Save Democracy.”
“We must demonstrate our solidarity with the protests occurring in a thousand cities across the USA today,” stated Timothy Kautz, a spokesperson for Democrats Abroad in Frankfurt. Protester Jose Sanchez described Trump as a con artist undermining U.S. democracy.

The protests in the U.S. will provide an opportunity for Trump opponents to collectively express their dissatisfaction in response to his series of executive orders.
“This is a massive demonstration that conveys a clear message to Musk, Trump, congressional Republicans, and all the supporters of MAGA: we reject their interference in our democracy, our communities, our schools, and our lives,” remarked Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, one of the organizations coordinating Saturday’s events.
The White House has not yet responded to requests for comments from Trump or Musk.
According to the event’s website, around 150 activist groups have committed to participating.
Protests are set to take place in all 50 states, as well as in Canada and Mexico, with one of the largest rallies anticipated on Washington’s National Mall.
