At least 12 individuals lost their lives in an assault in the coastal province of Manabi, Ecuador, according to police reports on Friday.
The incident occurred overnight at a cockfighting venue, where spectators typically gather to watch rooster battles.

Authorities indicated that there were also several injured persons who were transported to medical facilities, although they did not disclose the exact number. Investigation teams are currently on-site to collect evidence and identify those responsible for the attack, police stated.
