BRUSSELS – The European Commission announced on Thursday that it has released the fourth tranche of its macro-financial assistance (MFA) loan to Ukraine, amounting to 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion). This disbursement is part of the G7 loan initiative.
EU Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis stated that the EU continues to provide political, financial, economic, and military support to Ukraine. He noted that this 1 billion euro disbursement is the fourth this year under the 45 billion euro G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration initiative.
