A Russian SU-24 aircraft was intercepted by the Polish Air Force on Thursday evening after performing what Poland’s Minister of National Defence Wladysław Kosiniak-Kamysz described as “dangerous maneuvers.” The Minister announced the incident on Friday, without providing further details.
Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that the order to intercept the aircraft was issued by the joint operational command for NATO allied forces in Europe. Polish jets located, intercepted, and “effectively deterred” the Russian aircraft.
