North Korea’s Minister of State Security, Ri Chang Dae, departed Pyongyang on Monday to participate in a meeting of senior security officials in Russia, according to a report by the North’s KCNA state news agency on Tuesday.
Russian media reports indicate that Sergei Shoigu, a top security aide to President Vladimir Putin, will be present at the meeting, which is expected to include security officials from North Korea, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates, among other countries.
