A Two-Day Strike at Munich Airport has Canceled 80% of Flights.

Munich Airport announced that a strike by the public sector union Verdi on Thursday and Friday has led to the cancellation of approximately 80% of flights.

As Germany’s second-largest airport, it issued a statement on its website warning that additional flight cancellations may occur, advising passengers intending to travel through Munich to reach out to their airlines for updates.

Since the commencement of wage negotiations in January, Verdi has organized multiple walkouts across Germany.
