Khabib Ghufran, a representative of the Afghan interim government, announced that monuments have been restored across seven provinces.
The restoration efforts are focused on safeguarding the nation’s rich history and cultural heritage, as reported by Xinhua news.
He mentioned that a dedicated police unit has been established to protect historical sites and artifacts, aiming to prevent damage and theft.

According to the ministry, approximately 8,200 foreign tourists visited Afghanistan’s historical sites in 2024, and the government is optimistic about attracting more visitors in the future.
