Stone Crossing is 33 miles northwest of Whitstable. While a bus service connects the two, train journeys involve going through nearby Ashford.

Police said in a new appeal this morning that Alfie is around 5’8″ with short brown hair and brown eyes.

The CCTV footage shows he was wearing dark jogging bottoms and a black Peter Storm puffer jacket.

The force added: ‘Officers are urging anyone who may have seen Alfie, including any fellow train passengers or anyone who saw him at any station after Dartford, to contact them.’
