While dancing in a pink glittery dress, Britney Spears revealed she has recently ‘fallen down the stairs’, leaving her leg ‘snapping’.
Britney, 43, regularly posts clips of her dancing in her home on Instagram, this time sporting a knee support as well as her short dress.
She revealed her sons – Sean Preston and Jayden James — had just left to return to their home in Maui with dad, Kevin Federline.
Britney explained that dancing is how she expresses herself before admitting she had a ‘horrible’ fall at a friend’s house.
‘My boys had to leave and go back to Maui,’ she wrote. ‘This is the way I express myself and pray through art … father who art in heaven …
‘I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better … and I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day !!!’
The pop icon added: ‘Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house … it was horrible … it snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken but for now it’s snapped in !!! Thank u god.’
A massive bruise could be seen on her wrist as well as smaller bruising across her other arm and the rest of her body.
Her dancing was a little more reserved than usual, mainly focusing on moving her arms rather than her legs while her knee healed.
An hour later, Britney posted another dancing video with two more outfits, one was a leopard print plunging bodysuit, while the other was a see-through bedazzled bikini set.
‘As Madonna says, express yourself don’t repress yourself 😂😂😂🤧🤧🤧,’ she wrote as the caption.
The post comes a month after concern was raised for the pop icon’s welfare as fans questioned the cleanliness of her home.
Fans thought they could see dog poo on the floor behind her during another dancing clip at her Californian home.
Surprisingly, Britney hit back at the criticism telling her almost 42million followers: ‘Shame on those who judged my home in my pajamas!’
She then praised Justin Bieber’s new album, saying she was ‘in love’ with a picture of him and his son playing together.
The album marked his return to music after becoming a father but also a time during which his mental health was being questioned by fans.
Britney’s own mental health has been a source of concern, especially since she was released from her 13-year conservatorship.
An insider told the Daily Mail that Britney is ‘having an episode right now,’ with friends and family monitoring her from a distance but not planning to intervene.
The same source painted the bleak picture of her living situation, alleging that her mansion has fallen into disarray, with dog mess on the floors and no regular cleaning staff visiting.
‘She isn’t functioning like an adult would function,’ the close source claimed ahead of Britney’s clap back.
Most of the worry has come from her erratic posts on Instagram, including everything from cryptic images, topless selfies, and her dance videos.
One video last month saw her attempt an off-key rendition of Prince’s Kiss, while piles of belongings and one of her dogs appeared in the background.
In one video she wore a skimpy gold minidress with a chest cutout. The outfit led to repeated wardrobe malfunctions, which Britney covered with flower emoji.
