A global hunger monitor warned on Monday that the entire population of Gaza remains at critical risk of famine, with half a million people facing starvation. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) called this a “major deterioration” compared to its previous assessment in October.
The IPC’s latest report analyzed the food security situation in Gaza from April 1 to May 10, 2024, and provides projections through the end of September 2024, according to a summary of its key findings.
