Hollyoaks fans were hooked on the twists and turns of last week’s episodes, as the truth of Jez Blake’s (Jeremy Sheffield) crimes were finally exposed.
Amid all the drama, eagle-eyed fans managed to spot a familiar face in court, as Tony Hutchinson’s (Nick Pickard) plea hearing descended into chaos.
Viewers will know that Tony was facing serious time after being accused of Bobby Costello’s murder.
In reality, Bobby’s death came at the hands of evil Jez, but when Tony was placed at the scene of the crime after the funeral, fingers started pointing.
Last week, after Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) and Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) set about getting to the truth, Dodger interrupted the hearing to expose Jez for his crimes, leaving the judge exasperated and threatening to hold him in contempt of court.
While Tony’s hearing took a dramatic turn as Dodger attempted to arrest Jez for a series of brutal murders, only for the killer to take Tony hostage, Hollyoaks fans were distracted by the judge presiding over the proceedings.

‘Is the judge the GP from Coronation Street?’ One viewer questioned on Twitter/X, while another wrote: ‘Isn’t that judge Dr Gaddas from Corrie?’
Their speculation was correct, as the judge was in fact played by Christine Mackie, best known to Corrie viewers as local GP Dr Gaddas.
‘Obsessed with Dr Gaddas becoming a judge in Chester now her services are no longer required in corrie because everyone goes straight to hospital…her hardworking ways,’ another soap fan joked on the social media site.
Dr Gaddas was last spotted on the cobbles at the beginning of July.
While picking up food at Speed Daal, she bumped into Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and congratulated him on getting the all clear from his testicular cancer.

When Kevin asked Dr Gaddas to keep the news on the down low, it marked the beginning of a story which saw the mechanic hide the truth about his condition from wife Abi Webster (Sally Carman).
Away from soap, Christine has appeared in countless movies and TV shows, including The Siege, Downton Abbey and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
Her role as a judge isn’t the first time she has appeared on Hollyoaks either.
In 2016, she played the district judge overseeing the custody battle for Leah Barnes and Lucas Hay, as well as appearing as headteacher Mrs Webster in several episodes between 2006 and 2008.
