In a special interview with AFP at the Iranian consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Araghchi reiterated that Iran’s nuclear endeavors are solely for peaceful purposes.
“Iran’s nuclear expertise resides within our scientists—it is not something that can be targeted,” Araghchi remarked. He further highlighted that Iran’s nuclear installations are strategically distributed and well-secured.
In response to worries about potential regional conflict, Araghchi accused Israel of attempting to involve the U.S. in warfare.

“Should an attack occur, it could trigger a significant conflagration throughout the region. This aligns with Israel’s strategy to ensnare America in a conflict, where it would be highly vulnerable,” he cautioned during the exclusive interview with AFP.
On the topic of Syria, Araghchi mentioned that Iran is vigilantly observing developments and remains receptive to diplomatic discussions, stressing the importance of establishing the appropriate conditions.
