The summit is expected to focus on strengthening defence ties across Africa, reinforcing military diplomacy, and showcasing Nigeria’s strategic leadership in continental security.

Organizers say the summit will provide a platform for African military leaders and defence industry experts to strategize on joint defence procurement, technology transfer, security innovation, and regional peacekeeping frameworks.

Retired Maj.-Gen. Olufemi Akinjobi, who chairs the planning committee, stated that the summit is an opportunity for African defence chiefs to reshape security collaboration from within the continent.

The event is projected to reshape Africa’s defence policies and procurement strategies, aligning them with modern security challenges and continental development goals.

The summit comes at a time when many African countries are facing increasing security threats, including terrorism, insurgency, and piracy. The event is seen as an opportunity to enhance cooperation and coordination among African militaries in addressing these challenges.
