Pope Francis is Taking a Break After Ten Nights of Rest.

Pope Francis is currently “resting” on Monday morning after his 10th night in the hospital, according to the Vatican press office.

In a brief statement, the office reported, “The night passed well, the Pope slept and is resting.”

The 88-year-old leader of the Catholic Church, who has been in his position since 2013, underwent additional clinical tests on Sunday morning, as confirmed by Vatican sources to ABC News.

Officials indicated that he remains in critical condition.

The pontiff has been receiving treatment at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital since February 14 due to a case of bronchitis.
