Former Emmerdale actors Max Parker and Kris Mochrie have officially tied the knot, celebrating their love with a picturesque ceremony at the Wilderness Reserve near Yoxford in Suffolk.
The couple’s multi-day wedding began on July 5 and culminated in a romantic ceremony on Wednesday.
The pair first met in 2019 while filming Emmerdale, where they portrayed on-screen brothers Luke and Lee Posner.
Interestingly, although Parker and Mochrie played brothers, they never actually shared any scenes together. This was largely due to the storyline keeping the characters’ familial connection hidden until after Lee’s death. Despite the dramatic and controversial plot, where Victoria began dating her rapist’s brother,a real-life romance blossomed behind the scenes.
Not long after, the couple took the big step forward by moving in together. They reportedly settled into a luxury penthouse apartment in Manchester, said to cost around £8,000 per month. Max even gave fans a glimpse of their stylish new home on Instagram, sharing a photo of a hallway decorated with a designer Tom Ford table and a plant.
The pair confirmed their relationship publicly after a romantic holiday to Dubai, and their journey together has continued to flourish ever since. Now, with their recent wedding, Max and Kris have cemented their commitment to one another.
Max proposed at a romantic beach setting that the couple shared glimpses of on social media back in January 2022.
Their wedding was nothing short of a grand celebration. Held at the exclusive Chapel Barn venue on the Wilderness Reserve, the event was filled with thoughtful details that were shared across social media.
The festivities continued into the early hours of the morning, with a full evening of celebrations.
Max and Kris exchanged vows surrounded by friends, family and the stunning English countryside. As they said ‘I do,’ red confetti filled the air in a joyful moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.
Max appeared in 85 episodes of Emmerdale as Luke Posner, staying on the show until 2021. Kris’s role as Lee Posner spanned 21 episodes from 2019 to 2020. Though his time on the soap was shorter, his character played a central role in one of its most intense storylines.
Lee sexually assaulted Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) and was later killed following a confrontation with her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), leading to Robert’s imprisonment. Victoria went on to have his son Harry.
In a later storyline, it was revealed that Lee had physically attacked his brother Luke after discovering he was in a same-sex relationship.
Now, years after meeting on set, Max and Kris have taken their real-life love story to the next chapter. Surrounded by nature and loved ones, they’ve celebrated a bond that began in fiction and has grown into a real-life fairy tale.
