U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated on Friday that the United States is expected to cancel the visas of additional students in the near future. This announcement follows the arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University student targeted for deportation by the Trump administration due to his pro-Palestinian activism.
“Expect to see more visa revocations in the coming days as we pinpoint individuals who should not have been permitted entry,” Rubio stated to reporters after a G7 foreign ministers’ meeting.
