ABUJA, Nigeria – While Nigeria has seen many children of presidents rise to prominence, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has distinguished himself through his active involvement in youth empowerment initiatives.
Often referred to as “The King of Boys,” Seyi Tinubu has gained recognition for his efforts to promote youth inclusion in business, governance, and politics. Sources say that even before his father’s presidency, Seyi was actively involved in supporting Nigeria’s young population.

Unlike many from elite backgrounds, Seyi Tinubu is known for being approachable and connected to the needs of ordinary citizens, particularly underprivileged youth.
According to a statement from the Commissioner for Youth Development in Ekiti State, Seyi Tinubu’s initiatives provide valuable support to the government’s efforts to empower young people, despite limited resources.
Seyi Tinubu’s work includes personal involvement in youth-focused programs, philanthropic activities, and the Noella Foundation, which has reportedly created over 10,000 jobs.
His Renewed Hope Youth Empowerment Initiative aligns with the national agenda of prioritizing youth development. He has also spoken out against the politicization of empowerment efforts.
Seyi Tinubu does not discourage young Nigerians from seeking opportunities abroad, but instead advocates for the creation of viable opportunities within Nigeria, arguing that with proper support, Nigerian youth can thrive at home.
Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, has publicly praised Seyi Tinubu’s contributions to national development, and the Forum of Nigerian Youth and Sports Commissioners has pledged to collaborate with him to expand youth development programs.
The Forum also expressed support for the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, highlighting a focus on economic and social viability for Nigeria’s youth.
Seyi Tinubu’s work in youth development is seen as a potential model for public-private partnerships and a positive example of leadership focused on impact.
