Swedish authorities are looking into a case of attempted sabotage concerning the water supply on Gotland, an island in the Baltic Sea, as reported by the daily Aftonbladet on Monday, referencing unnamed sources.
According to these sources, the potential sabotage could have led to a complete water outage across the island had it not been detected in time.
A spokesperson for the Swedish Security Service confirmed to Reuters, “We are aware of an incident that was reported yesterday, and it is currently under police investigation.”
