On Saturday, British Foreign Minister David Lammy declared his intention to support future efforts to strengthen the relationship between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and U.S. President Donald Trump.
At the Munich Security Conference, Lammy stated, “I would encourage Donald Trump and the Ukrainians to look very carefully at a deepening partnership over the next generations.”
Last month, Ukraine and Britain signed a historic 100-year partnership agreement to fortify their relationship and increase security ties.

According to Lammy, securing U.S. business, industry, and defense capabilities for Ukraine’s future is the best security assurance against potential Russian aggression.
“That’s what’s appealing to a U.S. president who understands how to negotiate a good deal, and that’s what will make Putin sit up and pay attention,” Lammy continued.
