UK Government Warns British Nationals to Evacuate South Sudan

On Thursday, the British government urged its citizens in South Sudan to exit the country amid escalating tensions that have pushed the East African nation close to the possibility of renewed civil war.

The Foreign Office stated in updated travel guidance, “If you are currently in South Sudan and deem it safe, you should leave immediately.”

Additionally, the UK government maintains its warning against all travel to South Sudan due to the potential for armed conflict.
