Nigerian Water Ministry Implements Performance Management System

ABUJA, Nigeria – The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation in Nigeria recently held a two-day retreat focused on implementing a performance management system, signaling an effort to improve the effectiveness of the ministry’s operations and enhance service delivery. The retreat took place on April 4 and 5, 2024, in Abuja.

A key development during the retreat was the signing of Performance Management Contracts by all Directors of the Ministry with the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Richard Pheelangwah. These contracts are designed to establish clear performance standards and accountability within the ministry, providing a framework for evaluating and improving operational outcomes.
