King Charles and Queen Camilla Greet the Public Post-Easter Service.

King Charles and Queen Camilla made a brief appearance to greet onlookers following an Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, a significant event in the royal calendar, as the king serves as the supreme governor of the Church of England.

Accompanied by family members, including Princes Andrew and Edward and Anne, the Princess Royal, Camilla donned a pale blue hat and dress at the historic 15th Century chapel located within the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Prince Andrew’s presence was particularly noteworthy, as he had missed the royal Christmas service amid ongoing scrutiny regarding his connections to an alleged Chinese spy. He was seen with his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.

Notably absent were the king’s eldest son and heir, William, the Prince of Wales, and his wife Catherine, who are celebrating Easter with their children in Norfolk, eastern England.

After the Easter Matins service, Camilla received a bouquet of flowers and extended “Happy Easter” wishes to the gathered crowd.

In his annual Easter message delivered on Thursday, the king reflected on themes of war, human suffering, and the bravery of those who risk their lives to assist others.

This Easter service in 2024 marked Charles’ first public appearance following the announcement of his cancer diagnosis the previous month.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, also underwent cancer treatment last year and expressed her relief in January upon being declared in remission.
