Adam Peaty’s family were left ‘distressed’ after wedding photos of he and Holly Ramsay’s big day dropped into their inbox, it is reported.
The Olympian, 30, married Holly, 25 – the daughter of Gordon Ramsay – in a ceremony at Bath Abbey at the very end of 2025, but events were marred by an almighty family fallout, which saw the swimmer’s mother reportedly banned from attending the nuptials.
In the end, their wedding – for which the pair posed happily with Ramsay family friends the Beckhams – was thought to be only attended by Adam’s sister from his side of the family.
While Adam’s family would inevitably see the big old Vogue spread of the pair’s wedding day, it is now reported salt was further rubbed in the wound after they were sent an email of a wedding day picture directly.
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘When the picture pinged into a close family member’s inbox we were honestly shocked. Why would someone send us a photo from a wedding we were all banned from apart from Adam’s sister.
‘We’re not sure if it was sent in error or maliciously to make us suffer even more. It has caused us unnecessary anguish and distress and we can’t show it to Adam’s mum Caroline. She wouldn’t take kindly to it.’
The source added: ‘It shows the bride and groom with just her parents and their best friends and with the Beckhams posing where Caroline and Mark [Peaty’s parents] should be!’
Caroline previously told the publication she would not attempt to gatecrash the big day, because it would ’cause even more of a storm’ and she didn’t want to ‘ruin [Adam’s] wedding day’.
‘I wanted to be there quietly to watch him get married, but that can’t happen now,’ she explained.
Meanwhile all Holly’s family were in attendance, including her chef dad Gordon, her mother Tana, as well as her siblings, Matilda, 24, Megan, 27, Jack, 25, Oscar, six, and Jesse, who is one.
Bride Holly was walked down the aisle by proud Gordon, who shared on social media that he felt ‘truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law Adam Peaty!’
The whole fallout was made public by Adam’s aunt – and Caroline’s sister – Louise, who wrote on Instagram a few months ago that her sibling was ‘broken’ due to her relationship with Adam and Holly.
Adam’s brother James was also later reportedly arrested upon Adam’s return from his Budapest stag do.
While Holly and Adam have remained relatively tight-lipped over the feud, a statement shared by Adam in November said: ‘Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself.
‘My sister Bethany, has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.’
Meanwhile, in an interview with the Daily Mail ahead of the wedding, Caroline said: ‘I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.
‘This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken.’
