It seems Amanda Holden and Phillip Schofield’s longstanding feud is still raging on, with Holden recently stopping her radio show after her co-host Jamie Theakston made a comment about Schofield.

Amanda, 55, and Jamie, also 55, were joined by Jack Whitehall, 37, on their Heart Breakfast radio show to discuss the BRIT Awards, which Jack is set to host.

Amanda asked him if he was going to rock a ‘snappy pair of socks’ to the BRITs like his dad often does, to which Jack joked: ‘Well, I don’t want to be upstaged by a sock.’

Amanda then told Jamie: ‘Well, Jamie, I rest my case.’

‘What are you talking about? Children’s television? That wasn’t me, that was Phillip Schofield,’ Jamie replied.

Amanda then fired back: ‘Oh God, please, let’s not mention that name on air, it’s a family show!’

The tensions between PhiI, 62, and Amanda, 52, seemingly began in 2018, when he was accused of ruining her chances of co-hosting This Morning with him while his usual co-host Holly Willoughby was in Australia filming for I’m A Celebrity.

A former daytime TV executive claimed that Phil pushed for ITV bosses to pick Rochelle Humes over her.

As a result, Amanda was said to have ‘awkwardly confronted’ Schofe on the snub during an appearance on the show.

‘She made it clear that she felt very let down. He was lost for words but didn’t have much time to respond to Amanda’s claims because the show was going back on air,’ an insider reportedly told The Sun.

‘Neither of them realised that Amanda could be overheard by most of the team because she was still wearing her mic pack.’

However, Phil was quick to respond, tweeting: ‘The end of another really sad weekend. When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless “sources”.

‘Obviously I’ll take it on the chin…I just hope you know me better.’

An official ITV spokesperson also denied the claims: ‘Presenter line-ups on This Morning change regularly. Final decisions are made by producers, not presenters.

Before Phil announced his ITV exit, Amanda has previously shared who she thinks should take over from Phil on the This Morning sofa.

She told her Heart radio co-host Jamie Theakston: ‘Yes. I think him and Alison [Hammond] do a great job, don’t they?’ she thinks Dermot O’Leary would be ‘good to replace’ Schofield.

The digs didn’t stop there, after Amanda joked about the things she never wanted to find in her home, listing: ‘Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.’
