Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has suffered yet another blow and has been banned from horse riding.

The former prince was arrested last week for allegedly leaking state secrets to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Over the last few months, he has frequently been pictured on horseback, riding around the royal Windsor estate.

But since he was last pictured shell-shocked being driven out of a Norfolk police station, royal aides are closely monitoring every possible photograph.

And they are worried he will be caught smiling by waiting photographer while horse riding, which they believe will be a ‘bad look’ as he remains under police investigation for misconduct in public office.

A source said: ‘Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look.

‘They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor.

‘But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?’

Andrew was spotted grinning and waving from his car near his former Royal Lodge home in Windsor despite the stream of allegations made against him surfacing in the Epstein files.

Police said yesterday evening that searches of the sprawling Royal Lodge in Windsor have finished.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said: ‘Officers have now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire.

‘This concludes the search activity that commenced following our arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on Thursday.

‘We understand the significant public interest in this case and our investigation remains ongoing.

‘It is important that our investigators are given the time and space to progress their work.

‘We will provide updates when it is appropriate to do so, but this is unlikely to be for some time.’
