Slimy Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) finds a new way to get his hooks into April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) in Emmerdale.
April truly believes that she can extricate herself from Ray’s grip, but she has no idea just how evil he is. And he is, evil.
His smarmy tricks to get her and Dylan (Fred Kettle) onside and keep them close have been working a treat– even getting Dylan to learn to drive so that he could do more drugs runs. He’s now got April dealing to supposedly pay off their two grand debt faster.
It’s a stroke of luck for him that April accidentally dropped some pills in front of brother Leo, who found them and put himself in serious danger. Now April’s family are turning against her, which pushes her right towards Ray.

Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is furious that April’s pills put Leo in peril. It’s the final straw for Rhona, who’s struggled with some of April’s recent behaviour. At the end of her tether, she wants the teen out.
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is torn knowing that letting April leave will make her even more isolated, but April seems to agree with Rhona that her place is no longer at home. April tells them she has ‘friends’ to stay with, but no one realises she’s referring to her drug dealer boss Ray.
Through gritted teeth she tells Ray she’ll take the room he’s offered, knowing that it puts her further in his debt. Ray is delighted, the outcome he dreamed of.
But April has an unexpected eleventh-hour hero save her from being in Ray’s back pocket – Bob (Tony Audenshaw) catches her at the bus stop with her packed bag and tells her to move in with him.

April is visibly relieved, while Ray baulks at the news.
But there’s a weird twist in the tale when Celia (Jaye Griffiths) overhears Rhona and Moira (Natalie J Robb) talking about April’s situation. She tells them that getting rid of April was the right move, convincing them to keep April well out of the way. What is Celia’s game?
Knowing that actress Jaye Griffiths has promised that all is not what it seems with her character, what is Celia hiding from everyone?
