Brighton Pride is getting ready for its biggest ever party to celebrate 35 years, with the full-line up now being announced.

At 81, the legendary Diana Ross will become the oldest ever headliner for Pride on the Park when she takes to the main stage on the first weekend of August.

For her Brighton Pride debut, Ross will be belting out classic tunes like Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Endless Love and, of course, I’m Coming Out.

She’s not the only vocal powerhouse headlining this year, as Saturday’s slot will also be taken up none other than Raye.

With her new album out, she’s likely to bring a big brass band, big numbers and almost certainly some scatting from the independent artist.

Pop powerhouse Jessie J has also been announced for the Saturday alongside RuPaul who will command the Icons slot making their debut at the festival. Also doing an Icon slot is Paris Hilton, who will no doubt be performing her 2006 hit Stars are Blind.

On the same day attendees will also get to see pop group Five, who made their long awaited music comeback last year.

Other notable acts include Leigh-Anne, G-Flip and RuPaul – who is also doing a DJ set.

Soon after the full line-up was announced, fans declared it was ‘insanely good’.

But to find out more about when Brighton Pride is and how much is a ticket, Metro has taken a deep dive below.

Brighton Pride is taking place on Saturday August 1 and Sunday August 2 this year.

With Ross headlining on Sunday, Raye’s performancewill come after the release of her highly anticipated new album.

Even her number one song, Where Is My Husband, has been given an album do-over in the Escapism singer’s strive for perfection.

How much are Brighton Pride tickets?

While ticket prices for the event have not yet officially been announced, they are expected to be in line with recent years.

Prices typically range from around £58 to £64 for a single day, while weekend tickets are believed to be roughly £89 in their final release tier.

Ms Ross last performed in the UK at London’s O2 in July, performing hits from her 65-year career with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

Maybe fans at Brighton Pride, who Metro is a long-time partner of, will be treated to a similar performance. Either way, they’re hyped.

‘Brighton Pride have well and truly outdone themselves,’ said AaronSpencer 98 on X as Selyoncerry added: ‘Diana Ross at Brighton Pride ohhhh I won.’

D Huelin said the lineup was ‘pretty iconic’, even if we only know the headliners so far.

In 1991, the first contemporary Pride was launched, gaining popularity over the years with more than 500,000 people now set to attend.

Paul added: ‘As we proudly celebrate 35 years of Brighton & Hove Pride, we look ahead to an unforgettable weekend that honours the power of love in all its forms.

‘This year promises to be truly momentous – a joyous celebration of inclusivity, unity, and pride, and one we cannot wait to share with you.’
