A member of the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel was left injured on Saturday night’s show as an unforeseen consequence of one bold new act.
Judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and KSI were gathered for another night of festivities when Simon pressed his game-changing Golden Buzzer for the first time.
Wowed by aerial skills artist Paul Nunnari, Simon gave the wheelchair-using acrobat season 19’s first pass to its live shows.
However, things then got dicey between the judges when Simon attempted to deploy the buzzer for a second time.
As the episode continued, Ukrainian video game troupe Antigravity took to the stage to display a stunning showcase of live-action gaming.

And, as their man moved seamlessly from side-scrolling beat ’em up to high-tech street racer, a vicious spat emerged between Alesha and Simon… leaving her hand to suffer the consequences.
As Antigravity arrived on the stage to hear the judges remarks, the audience began chanting: ‘press the gold!’
While Alesha toyed with the group, Simon began to sneak up behind her so as to press the buzzer himself.
Noticing what he was up to, Alesha took quick action, resulting in a scuffle between the judges (including poor Amanda, whose microphone was busted in the process)… and the coveted Gold Buzzer for Antigravity.
In the aftermath (and with Amanda still nursing a mashed-up mic), the judges watched a video replay to verify that Alesha had indeed pressed the buzzer first.
‘Alesha, you’ve just ruined Amanda’s microphone,’ Simon commented afterwards.
‘I had to dive on that to protect it,’ Alesha responded, to which Simon agreed: ‘You did.’
Discussing the spat with Daily Mail, Alesha said: ‘Simon had been winding me up so much and we were having back-and-forth banter, he was on one, and I saw him go to press it and thought, he ain’t having it! I dived on it, broke Amanda’s microphone, and hit my hand!
She continued: ‘It is definitely the most physical golden buzzer I’ve ever done on the show! It shows the competitiveness between me and Simon.’
She went on to describe Antigravity as ‘great,’ and spoke of how she’d pressed the buzzer more for her 12-year-old daughter than herself, thinking how she’d ‘love this act.’
Simon and Alesha weren’t the only ones to have their socks blown off by Antigravity either – audiences were also impressed by this showcase of ingenuity.
Describing it as ‘amazing,’ David0Connor remarked on X that it had been ‘such a cool act.;
It was a sentiment echoed by JacobElyachar, who called it ‘one of the best auditions I have seen in years,’ and WhoPotterVan, who agreed that it was ‘the most deserving Golden Buzzer they have ever had.’
‘I think we can all agree that Antigravity was an absolute deserved golden buzzer,’ wrote TGherewego.
Describing them as a ‘unique act,’ mary_pippin1 also hoped for big things for Antigravity, adding: ‘I hope they go all the way.’
Backstage, Antigravity caught up with hosts Ant and Dec, where they reflected on their Golden Buzzer win.
‘It’s incredible. Actually we were dreaming about that. We wanted that, to get that Golden Buzzer and now we got it,’ the group enthused.
Now through to the live shows, Antigravity will potentially have to compete with drone act Celestial, who stunned the panel with a patriotic light show back in February.
However, the praise for Celestial hadn’t been quite so unanimous, with some social media users questioning where the talent was in a drone show.
Who will come out on top in the battle between the drones and the gamers?
Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday on ITV1 and ITVX.
