Claudia Winkleman’s new chat show arrives tonight at 10.40 pm, but did you know that audience members received strict instructions on how to dress?

The first episode of the TV legend’s new series will see Jeff Goldblum, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Saunders and Tom Allen join her on the green sofa.

Still, over the next few weeks, the 54-year-old presenter will interview stars like Lisa Kudrow, Rachel Zegler and singer-songwriter Niall Horan. Not bad for a first series, right?

Even better can apply for tickets to sit in the live audience during the show’s recording.

However, the website facilitating ticket distribution for The Claudia Winkleman Show has some words of warning when it comes to what to wear.

The information on SRO Audiences reads: ‘We’re asking everyone to dress to impress – we don’t want to see any tracksuits or puffer gilets; we’d like to look out at a sea of people dressed for a big night out with Claudia!’

Similar to programmes such as The Graham Norton Show, which is made by the same production company as Claudia’s, there will be some audience participation.

As well as providing laughter and atmosphere, there’s a chance you could be chatting with one half of the former Strictly duo if you get tickets to watch.

The description reads: ‘If you want the opportunity to have a chat with Claudia and possibly be on TV, then this is the show for you!’

Filming is taking place at Television Centre in White City, London, and the first show was recorded on March 2.

She has also worked as a presenter on Crufts, joining Clare Balding for the famous dog show.

The TV icon shows no sign of slowing down and stays humble in the process.

She told the Daily Mail: ‘Now I have two new things, but they’re only on for a very short time. And thank goodness they’re gonna fail.’

‘Then you’re not gonna see me on a Saturday night. That’s it. I’m done. Where is she? Under the duvet with a dog.’

In the same interview, she revealed details about her decision to leave the Saturday night show: ‘It occurred to both of us about a year before.’

The Claudia Winkleman Show airs on Fridays and is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
