Soap actor Jack P Shepherd and his wife have revealed that they are expecting their first baby together, just over six months after tying the knot.
The happy couple shared the news on Instagram on Saturday with a reel of a photo shoot organised to mark the exciting announcement.
‘We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026 🤍,’ the caption read, alongside a montage of Jack, 38, in smart black trousers and a white shirt and wife Hanni, 36, in a cream lace dress walking hand-in-hand and posing together, cradling her baby bump.
They also both carried a pair of knitted cream baby booties and shared a kiss.
Jack, who also took part in Celebrity Big Brother and won in 2025, married Hanni in a lavish Manchester Cathedral ceremony on July 26 last year.
Plenty of his Corrie pals and colleagues shared their well wishes over the news in the comments, with Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva Price on the soap, writing: ‘Congratulations beautiful people.’

‘Congratulations darling 💖,’ added Jack’s former co-star Helen Flanagan, while Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, wrote: ‘Congratulations guys!!! So happy for you both ❤️❤️❤️🫶🏼🥰’
Claire Sweeney, and Jack’s fellow Corrie mainstays Andy Whyment and Alan Halsall also left celebratory messages.
Jack has played David Platt on the famous ITV soap’s cobbles since he was a youngster in 2000, meeting scriptwriter Hanni through work.
They’ve been in a relationship since 2017 and announced their engagement in June 2024.
Jack’s soap family also played a special role in his big day with Hanni last year, including Helen Worth, who portrayed David’s mum Gail Platt for over five decades until her emotional exit from the soap on Christmas Day in 2024, and Ben Price, who plays David’s older brother Nick.
Appearing alongside Hanni for their first joint TV interview as a married couple on Loose Women, Jack explained: ‘Helen gave a Bible reading, Ben gave a Bible reading. So we thought we’d get the actors up.
‘I was 12 when I started, 25 years, it’s mad because I’ve done 25 and when I started, Helen had done 25!’
