Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati’s (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) life hangs in the balance in EastEnders after he was attacked by dad Ravi (Aaron Thiara), who mistook his son for dead dad Nish (Navin Chowdhry).
Ravi, as viewers will know, was spiked by Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), who was acting on behalf of son Harry (Elijah Holloway), who is hellbent on revenge.
The mechanic’s life was turned upside down by Ravi, who ordered him to sell drugs and to use his and Kojo Asare’s (Dayo Koleosho) flat as a base of operations.
Kojo was subsequently cuckooed as part of the plot, while Harry was chained to a wall by Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu), who was stationed at the flat by Ravi to keep an eye on the day-to-day dealings.
Okie went rogue and decided to trap Harry for weeks, getting him hooked on drugs in the process. Harry escaped but a subsequent showdown with Okie saw the latter end up dead, with Teddy (Roland Manookian) taking the fall to protect his son.
Harry, meanwhile, headed off to rehab but upon his return he decided that it was time Ravi paid for his crimes, unaware that the gangster is working as an informant for the police.
Nicola took the lead on Operation Make Ravi Pay, spiking his drink at Harry’s Barn, while Harry led the drugged fan-favourite to the Arches, locking him inside.
Ravi suffered frightful hallucinations of Nish, who fell to his death last year, and thus he made a beeline for the exit, stumbling up an alleyway. As the vision of Nish became aggressive, Ravi decided to fight back.
Little did he know, however, that Nish wasn’t actually Nish. The person he attacked was none other than son Nugget, who was on a mission to locate him after he failed to return home for a family dinner.
Vinny (Shiv Jalota), who was also out looking for Ravi, was horrified to find Nugget unconscious and swiftly phoned an ambulance. Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) burst into tears at the hospital, devastated to learn that her son had been placed in a coma.
Ravi, meanwhile, was seen falling to the floor in the remote area behind the Arches, out of sight.
In Monday’s (January 12) edition of the BBC One soap, Ravi comes to, waking up in the street.
