Earlier this week in Emmerdale, Kim Tate (Claire King) was rushed to hospital after collapsing.
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) believed her symptoms matched up with mushroom poisoning, but further testing confirmed Kim had experienced a painkiller overdose.
The news left Kim stunned. Believing she’s a woman who never makes mistakes, Kim had to try and get her head around the fact she had taken too many pills without realising.
A while later though, the truth was confirmed. In Kim’s bathroom, Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) was on the phone to someone, discussing how the double dose of Kim’s medication failed to kill her.
Graham, who returned from the dead at the start of January, went on to tell the caller that he’ll create a new plan to get rid of his ‘pain in the neck’.
Fans of the ITV soap absolutely loved these scenes. Amid the shock that Graham was indeed back in Emmerdale to destroy Kim, plenty couldn’t help but wonder who he was on the phone to.
Was it just a random person from Graham’s past who was able to supply him the medication?
Or someone we know?
For a number of audience members, they seem to think it’s the latter, and who better to assist in Graham’s plan to poison Kim than someone who’s done it before?
I’m talking about Jamie Tate, played by Alexander Lincoln. Last seen in 2021, Jamie secretly poisoned Kim to try and gain more control over her.
Is Jamie helping Graham?
-
Yes, I think so!
-
No, it's someone else
He left the village and hasn’t rebuilt his relationship with his mum. There is a very high chance he has been in contact with Graham and is now secretly working with him to knock Kim from her throne – and many Emmerdale fans on social media platform X would be here for it.

Diana said: ‘Kim’s son Jamie!’.
Kelly added: ‘Jamie!’.
Karen added to the speculation and simply wrote: ‘Jamie?’.
To further fuel this theory, when Graham returned at the start of the year, he took pleasure in taunting Kim about Jamie – which could suggest he’s been speaking to him.
Could it be Jamie, or someone else?
‘Graham is clearly still incredibly angry that Kim tried to kill him six years ago. This resulted in him faking his own death to escape the hit she put out on him’, star Andrew Scarborough said.
‘He lost Rhona in this process, so he still hasn’t forgiven Kim for that. She took six years of his life away. That is why he just tried to kill her – for revenge. I am not convinced his whole heart was in it because their relationship is complicated. I think if his whole heart were in it, he would have actually made it happen.’
