Just hours after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement, explosions were reported across Srinagar, the largest city in Indian-administered Kashmir, on Saturday evening. The blasts have raised concerns about the stability of the truce. Omar Abdullah, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his shock and concern on X, stating: “What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions heard across Srinagar.”
Authorities have yet to release details regarding the cause and extent of the explosions. The incident threatens to undermine the newly-declared ceasefire and raises fears of renewed tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
