The first trailer for Robert Pattinson and Zendaya’s new film The Drama has left fans desperate to know what the secret revalation is.
Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Pattinson) play a couple who are preparing for their wedding day in A24’s latest project.
However, after playing a game with their two friends, played by Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie, both are prompted to reveal the worst thing they have ever done.
Following Emma’s answer, Haim’s character can be seen looking incredulous as she says: ‘Are you serious?’
While the trailer does not reveal what Emma says, her confession appears to tear the fabric of her relationship with Charlie in two as the big day approaches.
Now, building off of some previous anticipation for the film, fans are declaring that they are going to be ‘banned by cinemas’ because of how many times they are going to see The Drama.
Responding to Zendaya’s Instagram post promoting the film, which has been given a release date of April 3 this year, fan account @zendayaff wrote: ‘The theater employees are gonna ban me when I watch this 50 times in one week.’
Joy similarly declared: ‘I’m seated. The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it “hasn’t even started filming yet” but I’m simply too seated.’
Taking to X, other social media users argued that the film is ‘already a masterpiece’ despite only the trailer dropping.
Lacy said: ‘I’ll be watching patiently,’ as Jared added: ‘Can’t be more seated than I already am.’
Meanwhile, Lacy argued: ‘This is about to be the movie of the year’.
Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the Norweigan filmmaker is best known for the 2023 surreal comedy drama Dream Scenario, starring Nicolas Cage.
Previously, the A24 threw movie lovers into confusion after the wedding-themed announcement of the film.
Given Zendaya’s high-profile engagement to Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland, some thought it was a public invite to their actual wedding – and wondered why Robert was there rather than the man of the hour.
Further speculation was caused after The Boston Globe newspaper teased the forthcoming nuptials in the film within their publication.
The Drama arrives in theaters April 3 via A24.
