It may feel like it, but GTA 6 isn’t that much further off (Rockstar)
GTA 6’s next trailer is still several months away, if the latest rumours are right, while fans continue to stalk developers’ LinkedIn accounts for new info.
Assuming it does indeed launch in November, as planned, there has still been surprisingly little information about GTA 6, with Rockstar Games yet to show any raw gameplay footage.
Naturally, fans are starving for a new trailer, especially since come May, it will have been a whole year since the last one. And aside from news of a second delay, there have been no real updates in that time.
Fans often hope new information will drop any time publisher Take-Two’s earnings reports roll around, but one insider believes that the next trailer won’t be dropping until at least July.
Insider Gaming’s Mike Straw recently theorised on the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast that new GTA 6 info will be shared around the time of Take-Two’s next earnings call in May, especially since that will also mark the end of the company’s fiscal year.
However, site owner Tom Henderson, who has often shared accurate insider reports in the past, argued that a new trailer won’t drop until ‘actual summer,’ i.e. July or August time, possibly right before the August earnings call.

It’s unclear if this is based on insider information or not, but he dismissed suggestions that the summer window was too late to drop a new trailer since ‘[Take-Two] can do what they want. It doesn’t matter when the trailer comes out. You’re all buying it anyway.’
Henderson’s prediction does line up with comments Take-Two made about GTA 6’s marketing, stating that it plans to start promoting the game this summer.
At that time, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also reaffirmed his confidence that GTA 6 will meet the November release date, although he expressed similar statements about the previous two release dates.

There have also been conflicting rumours about the state of GTA 6. Before the end of 2025, it was suggested that the game was content complete and the remaining months would be spent on optimisation and polishing
In January, though, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier claimed that wasn’t the case, implying that the polishing phase hadn’t even started. He did describe the November launch window as ‘a little more solid’ than previous ones but added that Take-Two could afford to push the game into 2027 if needed.
Elsewhere, fans continue to latch onto any sliver of new info they can find. Recently, the GTA 6 subreddit shared a screenshot from a former Rockstar graphics programmer’s LinkedIn account that mentioned a ‘next gen procedural breakable glass system for vehicles and props.’
More realistic glass physics sounds like an incredibly minor detail, but it was later discovered that the profile had been updated to remove that information, which isn’t too surprising given how secretive Rockstar is about GTA 6.
