Heavyweight boxer has his wig punched off by opponent during fight

Jarrell Miller’s wig was punched off his head by Kingsley Ibeh (DAZN)

Jarrell Miller had his wig punched off his head during his heavyweight fight against Kingsley Ibeh on Saturday night.

The bizarre incident occurred in the second round when Ibeh landed two sharp shots to Miller’s head.

Television replays showed Miller’s toupee peeling away from his scalp when he received the two heavy blows.

After he got off his stool for the start of round three, Miller stuck out his tongue and ripped the wig from his scalp before throwing it into the crowd.

Miller ended up winning the fight against Ibeh via split decision, with one judge scoring the contest 96-94 in favour of Ibeh, while the other two judges both scored it 93-97 in favour of Miller.

Speaking about the incident after the fight, Miller revealed that he lost his hair this week after accidentally using the wrong product.

‘I get to my mama’s house, and I saw some shampoo bottles on the table,’ Miler said.

‘I shampooed, and that shit was like ammonium bleach. I literally lost my hair like two days ago.

‘I called my manager and said get me one of those manes and I slapped that s*** on real quick. Ibeh knocked that s*** off. It’s funny, man. I’m a comedian and you’ve got to make fun of yourself.’

The 37-year-old was back in the ring for the first time since his draw against Andy Ruiz Jr. last August.

Before that, Miller was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in December 2023 on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s win over Otto Wallin.

Miller was lined up to fight Joshua in 2019 but the American heavyweight received a six-month ban after failing a drugs test.

He then failed another drugs test the following year which forced his fight against Jerry Forrest to be cancelled.
