Emotions run high in a high-octane in Hollyoaks, with big discoveries made, devastating news shared and an unexpected moment of happiness for one couple as the question is popped.
It’s been an emotional few weeks in the village following Dillon Ray’s (Nathaniel Dass) exit and Diane Hutchinson’s (Alex Fletcher) devastating cancer diagnosis.
And fans can expect more devastating scenes, as Diane prepares to share her terminal diagnosis with her loved ones.
Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey), meanwhile, faces some questions and Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) makes a big decision.
Let’s take a look at what’s to come next week.
Diane’s heartbreaking news
Next Monday’s offering of the Channel 4 soap will see the Hutchinson kids left reeling, with Diane having previously shared news that she’s got terminal ovarian cancer – in scenes set to air later this week.
Following the news, Ant (Brook Debio), Ro (Leo Cole) and Dee Dee (Chloe Atkinson) stay off school. Tony (Nick Pickard), meanwhile, raises the subject of chemotherapy but Diane is worried that the side effects could reduce her quality of life.
Kathleen-Angel (Naledi Rapotu) later arrives at the flat above The Dog, keen to know why the teens weren’t at school. Ro is left with little choice but to reveal the news about Diane as a saddened Kathleen-Angel comforts her friends. Ant supports Dee Dee and tells her they must stick together to support their mum. Diane overhears, pretending to be sleeping.
Ro, meanwhile, apologises to Diane for calling her selfish previously and he breaks down in her arms. But there’s soon conflict as Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) reveals that he saw Ro leaving a taxi late last night with an older woman. Ro is left unsure of how to answer as Diane and Tony ask him who he was with.
Donny pops the question
Donny and Misbah Maalik’s (Harvey Virdi) relationship appears to be on the mend but Misbah is soon left hurt when she overhears Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) quizzing him on if he’s made a decision about returning to work, upset that she was kept out of the loop.

And the shocks keep on coming as, later, Donny takes Misbah by surprise as he gets down on one knee to re-propose, presenting the ring she’d hidden. Misbah accepts, delighted that they’ve got things back on track – but there’s soon a knock on the door which very much bursts their bubble.
Towards the end of the week, Donny visits a former flame – but just what is he up to? And what’s more, who is he visiting?
Sienna and Cleo at odds over Sophie
The week begins well for Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) as they’re back home together, with Cleo and Jospeh discharged from hospital. Cleo, however, can’t shake the feeling that Sophie could be a danger.
Later, Cleo falls asleep and Sophie gives Joseph a teddy, but Cleo wakes up to witness such a thing and, panicking, she shouts loudly at Sophie, who is terrified.
Devastated by the reaction, Sophie later wets the bed, with Sienna informing Cleo, who is horrified and apologises for her reaction, promising to give Sophie another chance.
Brotherly bond?
Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) is still keeping shtum about his relationship with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), determined to build a relationship with his newfound brother Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas).
Warren, however, isn’t quite sure what to make of his new sibling and thus tasks Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) with keeping an eye on him.
Jenson, meanwhile, tries on Warren’s jacket, determined to be like his big bro.
Froggy’s advice to Rex
Rex informs granddad Froggy Black (John Middleton) that he’s keeping his experimenting from Ste. Later, Froggy joins Ste and Rex with the celebrant and reminds them that respect is the key to any healthy relationship.
Froggy shows his grandfatherly devotion to Rex once more in subsequent scenes, sticking up for him when Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) arrive at the garage, frustrated to see their car still hasn’t been fixed.
Rx is grateful and towards the end of the week, he shares a heartfelt moment with his granddad, who plays the piano.
