Affordable beauty brand Byoma has had us hooked since it first launched in 2022. Its entire range of cleansers, serums, creams and bodycare is focused on skin barrier repair, and many of it product have a spot in my everyday routine.
In fact, the Byoma Blemish Redness Relief Soothing Toner was one of my favourite product launches of 2025.
However, Byoma has just launched its first-ever mask, with an innovative peel-off design that’s oh so satisfying. The Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask, £16.99, is a clever new skincare treatment that delivers that coveted ‘glass skin’ effect in just 20 minutes. Described by the brand as a liquid sheet mask, it’s designed to work harder and smarter than traditional sheet masks, which often don’t fit well or just end up sliding off your face.
BYOMA Bio-Collagen Liquid Sheet Mask 60ml
The Bio‑Collagen Liquid Sheet Mask is a radiance‑boosting treatment that hydrates, soothes and supports the skin barrier in one easy step.
Powered by a tri‑ceramide complex, cica and antioxidant astaxanthin, the formula helps calm redness and keep skin feeling comfortable.
The pink gel smooths on like a cream before transforming into a clear film that peels away cleanly, revealing a brighter, plumper and more supple complexion underneath.
Instead, this new launch has been created to be applied in a thin layer all over the face, and after 20 minutes, transforms into a film that can be peeled off, with a plump, hydrated glow left behind. The formula contains a cocktail of ingredients spanning cica, astaxanthin, vegan collagen and a tri-ceramid complex, to calm and soothe skin.
It all sounds very impressive, but how well did it actually work for my acne-prone, sensitive skin?
First things first, Byoma advises to mix the mask in the pot – it comes with a spatula – before applying, then spread an even layer across your skin. It’s quite a thick, creamy texture, but it’s easy to work with.
By the time my 20-minute timer rang, it felt tighter, and I could easily find an edge to lift and begin peeling. In that time, it had also transformed from pink to clear, which is the indicator that it’s ready be removed.
Peeling it off across my face is SO satisfying, and underneath, my skin was glowing, without any dewy stickiness or greasy residue. There’s an all-over radiance that I would typically use makeup to achieve.
I have to admit, I was initially sceptical that it was a bit of a gimmick, but I am a total convert after using it twice a week for the last month. It has never once irritated my sensitive skin, nor exacerbated my hormonal acne and rosacea – it even calmed my redness.
Unlike other traditional sheet masks I’ve tried, you don’t need to be frozen still or lying down to keep it in place. I’ve worked at my computer, done a load of washing and started cooking dinner while wearing it, with no bother. It doesn’t drip either, and when it comes to removing it, you don’t even need to be near a sink, as it can be removed swiftly and easily.
According to Byoma, you can enjoy up to 20 uses of the Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask, which equates to approximately just 84p per application – so if you’re looking to treat yourself to a skincare treatment that will leave you glowing without breaking the bank, you can’t go wrong with this.
