The Y2K trend has been popping up more over the past two years, whether it’s the sequels to some of our favourite movies like Freakier Friday, or the much-anticipated Devil Wears Prada 2 – which comes out in cinemas on May 1 2026.
There’s also been a resurgence of nostalgic beauty buys, such as MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, or Charlie Red Body Spray, or fashion statements, including low-rise jeans and velour tracksuits.
However, one noughties nostalgia trend making its return for 2026 is none other than jelly shoes.
Designers and high street brands alike are reworking the classic translucent styles in grown-up colour palettes, chunkier silhouettes and even heeled iterations that feel far more fashionable than Year 6 disco. Love them or hate them, jelly shoes are shaping up to be the wildcard for summer 2026.

Leading the pack is none other than stunning shoe brand Kurt Geiger, who have launched its very own Jelly Collection, and quite frankly, we’re obsessed. Get yourself a gorgeous Rainbow Jelly Strap Sandal, £189, that will perfectly elevate your summer outfits with a rainbow ombre stiletto heel, and multicoloured perspex rubber straps.
Another favourite that will add a punch of personality to your Spring/ Summer ensembles is the Small Jelly Tote Bag, which retails for £199, and is available in four different colourways. From clear, blue, or pale green, each of these comes with a multicoloured pouch inside to secure your essentials.
However, our personal fave, the orange/ tan colourway, comes with a sun charm and a tiger-striped pouch inside.
As if this wasn’t enough, there is one show in particular that we already know will be huge in the coming months, and that is the Maddison Wedge Mule, which costs £119 and is available in blue or pink.
The OG Melissa brand, who were known for creating some of the original jelly designs, has a whole host of styles on its website that bring all of the nostalgia flooding back. Oliver Bonas are selling the Melissa Possession Clear Jelly Fisherman Sandals costing £65.
These will work with absolutely anything you pair them with, thanks to the clear rubber. As if that’s not enough to persuade you to add a pair to your basket, they even come with a bubblegum scent to amplify that nostalgic mood.
Or you can get yourself a gorgeous flip-flop alternative that will be excellent for packing in your carry-ons for the coming spring or summer holidays, or even day-to-day wear when the temperatures finally rise. Bag yourself the Melissa Beachwear Flip Flops at Free People for £44. They are available in three ombre colours: brown/black, clear/black and green/blue, so whatever your personal taste is, you’re promised to find ones that you’ll fall in love with.
So, if you’re ready to transport yourself back to the noughties with these signature jelly classics, then add these stylish options from Kurt Geiger and other brands to your basket and get ready to relive the fantasy.
