Katie Price’s new man, Lee Andrews, has said that he wants to take on her ex-husband in the MMA ring.
Former glamour model Katie, 47, blindsided friends and family last month when she married businessman Lee, 41, after a brief romance in Dubai.
It is believed that he proposed just one week after the pair met, surprising the television personality with a flashy ring and rose petals spelling out the words ‘will you marry me?’ on the floor.
Days later, and the loved-up duo had tied the knot, with Katie describing how they’d met by ‘checking each other’s socials’ before their connection deepened – matching tattoos, rings, nuptials and all.
Katie’s whirlwind romance – her ninth engagement so far – is said to have left friends and family back home ‘dumbstruck.’
Not least ex-husband Alex Reid, whose reaction to the news has made him an enemy of her new man.
Of Katie’s new wedding, 50-year-old Alex said: He said: ‘It’s irresponsible on your family and the children to marry someone you don’t know.’
He continued: ‘I genuinely wish the man good luck marrying her. I hope the marriage lasts longer than the court-ordered debts that she still owes me and to many others, demonstrating accountability and responsibility.
‘It’s not really her strong point. Maybe, he could be the best thing in the world to happen to her. He could help her pay her debts and be accountable with money.’
Lee has taken umbrage with the cage fighter’s words, telling The Sun that he would fight him ‘anytime, anywhere.’
He went on to tell the tabloid that he wanted the fight to be held in an Ultimate Fighting Championship five-round setting, and that proceeds would be put towards charity… and supporting Katie.
Lee added that he’d only briefly brought the idea up with Katie, but insisted that they had each other’s support.
Alex’s representatives declined to comment when approached by Metro about this story.
Lee is Katie’s fourth husband after being married to actor and influencer Kieran Hayler from 2013 to 2021. Prior to that, she and MMA fighter Alex had been married for less than two years.
The pair split in 2012, with Katie citing a change in Alex’s behaviour as the reason for their separation.
‘Alex and I have had a number of difficulties over the past few months. I accept that these were in part caused by my marrying too quickly – we all make mistakes and this was one,’ she wrote in a statement.
‘However, Alex changed from the man I fell in love with, and some of his behaviour became difficult for me to understand and caused issues. I have tried to help him with these issues, but they have put a considerable strain on our relationship.
‘Our difficulties were also not helped by Alex becoming more fascinated by life in the media eye.’
Katie’s first ex-husband is Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre, to whom she was married from 2005 to 2009.
The Mucky Mansion star has five children so far – son Harvey (23) with footballer Dwight Yorke, and Junior (20) and Princess (18) with Peter.
As for self-proclaimed millionaire Lee, it’s believed that he’s been married twice before. His Instagram page lists him as CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘investor in Space X Hybrid Fitness’.
He is believed to have proposed to another woman four months ago in a markedly similar fashion to Katie – rose petals and all.
According to old flame Alana Percival, Lee’s proposal took place in September 2025, although she later called off the engagement.
On meeting her new man, Katie told The Sun: ‘How I met Lee was esoteric; we connected [by] both checking each other’s socials and quickly realised, “Wow, this is for me.”
‘In the old-fashioned way, first by words, which captured us both.
‘That evolved deeper as we connected further within days, [getting] matching tattoos, and then both deciding to buy rings for the other.
‘All this without even meeting, we let fate, but you could [say] destiny, decide.
She finished: ‘I’m just so happy with my person that is just as happy as I am. What we have, they haven’t even invented the words.’
However, this came as news to her family and friends back home, who were reportedly blindsided to hear of her engagement and subsequent marriage.
A source told Metro: ‘Katie’s family are blindsided over the marriage, they almost don’t accept that it’s real.
‘They’ve never met or spoken to Lee and are concerned over how he portrays himself online and whether he is who he says he is. The relationship has come out of nowhere.
‘Princess and Junior don’t know who Lee is and the idea of him potentially becoming their step-dad is unexpected to say the least.
‘Everyone hopes now that Katie is back in the UK they can gain some clarity over what is going on and what her long-term plans are with him.’
Meanwhile, the celebrant who carried out the service in Dubai has suggested that Katie and Lee’s marriage may not actually be legally binding.
Part-time DJ and MC Darryl Rees told The Daily Mail:‘I’m a showman, you have to go to court to have it legalised.’
He explained how most British couples who marry in Dubai opt for a picturesque location before settling the legal requirements in a Dubai court or back in a UK register office.
It is not yet known whether Katie and Lee have chosen to do so.
