Whether it’s the humble Pastel del Nata, cheese twists galore or a simple pain au chocolat, Lidl certainly knows how to do a pastry.
It’s safe to say the in-store bakery has garnered a cult following; in fact, it’s so popular that it sells an impressive 122 of its All Butter Croissants every minute.
Now, Lidl has gone one step further and turned some of its most beloved bakery treats into Easter eggs.
There’s not one, but two pastry-inspired delights shoppers can enjoy for Easter 2026, plus a selection of returning chocolate products.
Here’s everything you need to know…
What’s in Lidl’s new bakery-inspired Easter egg range?
There’s a brand new Deluxe Belgian Chocolate Croissant Bakery Egg and a Deluxe Belgian Chocolate Doughnut Bakery Egg.
The bakery-inspired croissant sees the fan-favourite given a chocolatey makeover, and it certainly isn’t doing anything by halves.
It’s comprised of a golden, caramelised white chocolate shell, complete with biscuit, shortbread pieces, a milk chocolate drizzle and cocoa nibs.
Some might notice it looks a little similar to the £15 viral croissant egg from Waitrose, but at £9.99 (with a Lidl Plus app or £12.99 without), this version is a lot friendlier on the purse strings.
Those with an even sweeter tooth will delight in the egg version of the chocolate doughnut, which retails for the same price (with the same discount for members, too).
This one has a Belgian milk chocolate shell, and it’s infused with pieces of shortbread and fudge.
To finish, it’s topped with caramelised white chocolate and fudge sprinkling – just in case you didn’t quite get your fill.

The fun doesn’t stop there, either, as Lidl is also bringing back an array of fan favourites from 2025, including the Deluxe Chocolate Layered Eggs in flavours such as salted caramel and caramelised biscuit, which will set shoppers back £11.99.
The Deluxe Ripple Eggs (£5.79) are also making a highly anticipated comeback, and this time, they’re available in white chocolate and strawberry, or milk chocolate caramel and pretzel crunch.
When do Lidl’s new bakery Easter eggs launch?
Itching to get your fix?
Lidl’s Easter snacks will be available from March 1, but only while stocks last, so you’ll need to be fairly swift to nab one.

And these aren’t the only exciting new treats you can get your hands on this Easter.
M&S recently launched a product that fans are comparing to the classic Cadbury Creme Egg, and, trust us when we say, it’s opulent.
The website’s description reads: ‘Light-hearted, gooey and hard to resist, our Sunny Side Up Whips are a cheeky take on a chocolate classic.
‘These milk chocolate treats are filled with fluffy white mallow and a zesty orange sauce, and finished with a white chocolate topper that looks just like a sunny-side-up egg.’
The high street favourite also recently announced Speckled Egg Cookies are back in the in-store bakery after the company faced ‘overwhelming demand’ for the goodies.
Priced at £3.25 for a pack of five cookies, the baked good is made with the signature M&S cookie dough and features a combination of milk and white chocolate buttons, cornflakes and Speckled Eggs.
Packets of Speckled Eggs have also returned to stores, and customers have hailed them as being ‘much better’ than Cadbury Mini Eggs.
