Loose Women star Kaye Adams has lost her BBC Scotland job after being accused of bullying colleagues.
The 63-year-old was suspended from her morning programme in October last year after several complaints of misconduct were made against her.
Adams, who denies she bullied colleagues, was accused of swearing and humiliating co-workers.
Following Adam’s suspension, the BBC began an internal investigation into the claims and has reportedly found her guilty on three charges.
According to the Daily Mail, a disciplinary probe found the star guilty of swearing at one colleague, complaining about an intern’s professionalism, and throwing a pen at a person.
Following the probe, BBC Scotland staff were reportedly told Adams will not be returning to her presenting job for which she was allegedly paid £150,000 a year.
Two complaints of bullying were not upheld.
When approached by Metro for comment, the BBC said: ‘We do not comment on individuals’.
They then added that Adams will not be returning to this role, explaining that in the immediate future, Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.
Metro has approached Adams for comment.
According to The Times, Radio Scotland’s head of audio and events first became concerned about Adams’ behaviour during a meeting at the BBC Scotland office last year.
‘After witnessing Kaye’s behaviour first hand, Victoria started talking to other members of staff who worked on her programme,’ an insider said.
‘The floodgates then broke, and she was suspended. This was never about one single incident. The investigation looked at her behaviour over many years.’
Speaking on her podcast, Adams claimed she had been blindsided by the allegations.
I don’t want people to think that I’m trying to kid on nothing’s happening,’ she explained.
‘I know that people will be aware of stuff that they’ve read. I can’t even describe it, it just feels like layers of my skin have been torn off, to be honest.
‘But I just have to go with it, and hopefully there will be a sensible resolution. That’s all that you can really hope for in life. I certainly never saw this one coming.’
Several of Adams’ colleagues have defended her, including Jeremy Vine, who called her a ‘total professional’ and the former head of BBC Radio Scotland, Jeff Zycinski, who said he never saw her lose her temper.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that broadcaster and DJ Grant Stott has been lined up to replace Adams.
