If your New Year’s resolution is to reduce your sugar intake and eat healthier, you might want to look away now.

That’s because we’re going to be discussing all things chocolate at M&S as the retailer has launched a few new and returning treats in its Foodhalls.

We’ve seen that Marks & Spencer has released a naughty Valentine’s Day range very early, but there are also several Easter treats on the shelves months ahead of schedule.

But before you roll your eyes, it might interest you to know that some of these products are being hailed as ‘better’ than a classic Cadbury favourite.

Shoppers are going wild over the return of M&S Speckled Eggs, which are the retailer’s own-brand version of Mini Eggs. The chocolate eggs have a speckled candy shell finish, and they cost £1.75 for a 90g bag.

In addition to the OG classic colourful treat, there are two other flavour options, including Mint Speckled Eggs and Orange Speckled Eggs.

The retailer has also unveiled a brand new Giant Speckled Eggs Crunchy bar, costing £7.50, which puts a seasonal Easter spin on the iconic Big Daddy bar.

Instead of being filled with caramel and nuts, this one features M&S mini eggs, cornflakes and corn pieces, all inside a cereal flavour milk chocolate bar.

The giant 240g bar doesn’t come cheap, priced at £7.50, but this doesn’t seem to be putting anyone off.

These items have been getting a lot of love from shoppers already, with TikToker @charli0191 hailing the Speckled Egg bar as ‘insane’.

She said: ‘Look at this, oh my god. That is insane. The cornflake bits make it taste really, really good.

‘It might break my teeth, and it’s a bit expensive, but it’s really good chocolate and lasts quite a while.’

In the comments of her video, others said they were ‘drooling’ over the chocolate bar, which they thought looked ‘so delicious’.

Joanne Davies proclaimed: ‘I’m on a diet, but I need to try that.’

And when it comes to the Speckled Eggs, fans have dubbed them as winners over Cadbury.

@AytenManyera posted on TikTok, saying: ‘You HAVE to try the classic Speckled Eggs. So much better than Mini Eggs, especially 10 secs in the microwave.’

@Rosei_LisaJane agreed, writing: ‘M&S [ones] are banging.’

And @lizzbalds thought the mint ones were ‘very good’ also.

In other M&S news, the retailer has also recently caused a stir by bringing back an ‘unreal’ bakery item.

It’s time to welcome back the M&S Extremely Lemony Curd Filled Hot Cross Buns.

These zingy version of the Easter treat are packed with an ‘oozy, lemon curd filling’ and have been described as an ‘egg-stra special’ treat.

A pack of four typically retails for £3.20, but the prices can vary depending on the store. And it’s safe to say that fans have been going wild online.

‘Don’t walk…run to M&S! Their hot cross buns are back! The lemon ones, though!’ @neemadoeslife wrote over on TikTok.

And they got eyebrows wagging with the new ‘You Tickle My Pickle’ chocolate for Valentine’s Day.

The silly chocolate bar is, unsurprisingly, shaped like a pickle, but what is making people giggle is the way the pickle is laid out in a sultry pose – it’s very much giving ‘paint me like one of your French girls’.

It’s also rather phallic-shaped, but you’d probably already worked that out.
