Two easyJet planes ‘clipped wings’ at Manchester Airport, tearing one of the aircraft’s wings off and briefly grounding flights.
The planes collided just after 6.30am while taxiing, with flights suspended as engineers carried out safety checks.
A witness posted on X: ‘We’ve crashed on the runway.’
Manchester Airport is now running as normal, but travellers have been warned to expect delays and cancellations.
Photographs shared by witnesses of one of the damaged aircraft show the tip of the wing twisted.

Another image appeared to show half the wing tip missing of the plane, which data from the monitoring website FlightRadar24 suggests it was bound for Gibraltar.
Neither of the planes will fly out of Manchester today and alternative travel arrangements are being made for the passengers, according to the Manchester Evening News.
EasyJet has launched an investigation.
