A child who went missing from a group of people has tragically been found dead in a golf course lake.
Police have sealed off the Owston Hall Golf Course water after finding the body of the lifeless child on Monday at 9.50am.
A police helicopter searching for the missing tot spotted them in the lake.
Despite efforts by emergency services, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family has been informed and is receiving support from officers.

Locals report the child wandered off from a group in the Skellow area of Doncaster.
A South Yorkshire police spokesman said: ‘Yesterday, Monday 30 March, officers responded to the death of a child in Doncaster.
‘At 9.50am to a report a child had gone missing in the Skellow area of the city.
‘Officers and additional resources including police drones and the police aircraft were deployed.
‘Following an extensive search, the child was located in a pond on Owston Hall golf course.
‘Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services colleagues, they were pronounced deceased.
‘The child’s family has been informed and is being supported by our officers. The thoughts of everybody at SYP are with them at this devastating time.’
