Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are currently undecided on whether to send daughter Bambi to school yet.

The couple, both 26, welcomed their firstborn in January 2023, and they’re currently expecting their second baby together.

Molly-Mae regularly speaks candidly about the trials and tribulations of parenting, whether it be her three-year-old’s biting phase or navigating co-parenting during her and Tommy’s brief split last year.

And in her latest YouTube video, the Maebe founder told her two million subscribers that they are ‘on the fence’ about Bambi going to school out of fear of her ‘losing herself’.

‘I really wanted to fill you guys in on something we did the week just gone, which was very interesting and very eye-opening,’ she began. ‘We actually went to go and visit a school for Bambi.’

She went on to acknowledge it was a ‘controversial’ topic to discuss online, particularly given how she can ‘sneeze’ and ‘people will find it controversial’.

‘We were feeling very much on the fence with schooling and school and what we’re gonna do, and where we’re at with it.

‘I was in the normal school system; I didn’t go to private school. We’re just very stuck on what we’re gonna do.’

Molly-Mae said it’s a ‘nonnegotiable’ for Bambi to go to a Catholic school due to Tommy’s religious upbringing; however, they are ‘few and far between’.

‘He (Tommy) wants her to go to a Catholic school, and obviously, I support that.

‘We’ve actually been going to church quite a bit for the last few months and try to go most Sundays … Tommy really wants it to be part of Bambi’s upbringing.

‘And when our second baby comes along, we are gonna get them baptised. We haven’t actually done that with Bambi yet because we just never got round to it.’

As for why the parents are feeling ‘stuck’ on the school situation, the influencer said she ‘definitely’ wants Bambi to go to school, but she doesn’t know ‘what that looks like’ or ‘in what capacity’.

‘I think the legal age you have to send them is five. Do we wait a little bit? Do we just take her lead if it seems like she’s ready?’, Molly-Mae asked, acknowledging that one particular school they visited was ‘amazing’, however, it felt ‘almost too perfect’.

‘Bambi has just got so much personality, and every parent thinks their child is just so beyond special, but she has such a spark and such a brightness about her that the thought of sending her to school… I want her to just stay Bambi.

‘You have to let go at some point as a parent and allow your child to spread their wings, but I don’t know. I just don’t want her to lose her.

‘Even little things we picked up on in that school. They’re so strict, which is great, and we’re strict with Bambi, but in a way we’re comfortable with.’

Molly-Mae said that the thought of ‘handing your child over for five days a week to a system is kind of terrifying’.

‘And I think because we’re so protective over Bambi, like, I’m protective, but Tommy’s another level when it comes to Bambi, I just don’t really know where our heads are at with it.’

She concluded by confessing the whole ordeal felt ‘overwhelming’ and ‘scary’, so they’re putting ‘the brakes on’ temporarily, rather than submitting to the ‘pressure’ to get their toddler a place somewhere.

In the comments, many viewers offered words of reassurance for the soon-to-be mum of two, with @pan_taloon telling her it was ‘so fair’ to feel worried, while @lucyroscoe7624 praised her for ‘opening up a positive discussion’.

Molly-Mae and Tommy have clashed over the school debate before, as the boxer said in 2023 that he didn’t want Bambi (yet to be born at the time) to go at all.

Appearing in Netflix series At Home With The Furys, the pair explained how Tommy’s Traveller background prompted their discussions, as he made it clear he wants to raise their daughter in the same way, with family being ‘number one’.

Tommy himself left school early, as is typical for Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller children, many of whom leave after primary school to learn ‘traditional’ skills.

‘Growing up the way I’ve grown up, I’ve got my morals and live my life a certain way,’ Tommy told cameras.

‘I feel like when our little girl comes along, she’ll most definitely be brought up the way I’ve been brought up. The old-fashioned way. The right way.’

However, Molly-Mae, who was then pregnant, said in her own segment that it was ‘absolutely not an option’ that their child wouldn’t attend school.

‘I’ve been raised completely differently to that. It would never be a question that our children or our child would not go to school,’ Molly-Mae, who went to The Priory School in Hitchin, said.

‘That hopefully won’t cause too many rifts.’
